Some node tasks are killed or paused by the OS to make room for the new child processes. Without debugger, I ran API calls until memory is fully used. (But still, node tasks are created in task manager). I haven't noticed any sls-offline freezes when running without debugging. This behavior only happens when debugging though. useChildProcesses does leak memory and debugger works hard by always keeping attaching to every childProcess. I think this is the issue authors are trying to solve. So after sometime debugger freezes (sls-offline server freezes). (Task manager with useChildProcesses: true)Įvery time I invoke my API, a childProcessHelper is created and the debugger is attached. (Task manager without useChildProcesses: true)
